Vision & Sustainability

The ILEAnet Network+Community is expected to last beyond the project scope and duration. A sustainability plan will be developed, including for the ILEAnet Online Community Platform, to ensure that the ILEAnet Community will continue to live and grow after the project funding period.

By creating added value for the members at both organisational and individual level, the ILEAnet Community will increasingly become the “place to be and to connect with” for innovators in the LEA world, be they LEA practitioners, industrial players or academia.

This sustainability will have different dimensions:

  • Social sustainability: the ILEAnet Community will depend on regularly generating interest and added value for its members. Setting up and making work the mechanisms which enable this, is a central aim of the project.
  • Political sustainability: the ILEAnet Community will need the political support and endorsement of the major institutions both at Member State level and at EU level. Seeking this support will be one of the aims of the communication and dissemination activities throughout the project.
  • Institutional sustainability: the ILEAnet Community will need to be institutionalised, enabling continuous effective operations and guaranteeing LEA practitioner governance. This will be prepared and worked out during the project in coordination with the institutional partners and the member states.
  • Economic sustainability: the ILEAnet Community will only achieve the above objectives with a solid economic basis. Alternative set-ups will be investigated during the project and be worked out in conjunction with the other dimensions of sustainability.
